Sky takes over the blog for a moment!

Since Marianne posted some of her amazing work I thought I would put on some of my mediocre work.  I definitely don't have as much talent as she does because my airplane kits come 80-90% built, while her crafts are made from scratch!  I have only ever tried to make a plane from scratch once, and it was more of a paper airplane then anything else!

Here is my latest project that has kept me busy during the cooler months of the year.  I have a few things left to do, but I am almost there.  I am going to add a little paint to the exhaust pipes, hopefully pick up a cool pilot figure to stick in the cockpit, add a prop, and then I am experimenting with some new electronics that I am waiting to show up in the mail.

Thanks to my great wife who lets me be a kid in my adult years!

Crafting mania

For some reason I have been in the mood for crafting, sewing and always in the mood for a good book but I don't want to bore you with those so here are some pictures of what I have been up to since December.

I had this soft fabric and I wanted to see if I could do more than just sew two pieces of fabric tother so this is what I came up with. Supper soft if it was in my size I would always have it with me.
It seems like almost everyone around us is expecting a baby so I have sewn a bunch of blankets to have on hand. My friend Jamie came over and taught me how to do the wide binding on the middle blankets. Congratulations to all of you expectant family!!!
We needed some new holiday decor so one day I came up with his. Love the cricut Sky gave me for Christmas!!!!
A Friend of mine had one of these in her house and I loved it!! Obviously imitation is the best form of flattery. Thanks Shalet for letting me steal your ideas.
Had the frame loved the pictures and wanted to use the cricut so this is what I came up with.
Christmas Ornaments for Grandparents. These were easy and a lot of fun to make!!
Tooth fairy pillows. In the top of the tooth is a slot to put the tooth and the tooth fairy replaces it with the money. These were fun to make, they still make me smile.
The cake I made for my Sister Jessica's wedding. I don't have a picture of the finished project with the flowers on it but some people have been asking to see it so this is the best I could do.
It has been fun to keep busy, I am looking fo rthe next project just not sure what is next!!

More pictures.

I finally am around to putting some more pictures up of the trip and kids. This is the last of them. They are taken with my Cell phone so the quality isn't very good. Yes I did really go on this trip despite the lack of pictures of me!!!!
Waiting in line for the Buzz Light year ride Thomas loved the ride but not waiting forever to go on it.
The bus ride to and from the park from the resort.
Aladdin's magic carpet. I finally went on this with everyone and I didn't get sick. YAY!
Animal Kingdom, Macie said she was trying to act mad, I don't know why.
 Drums at Animal Kingdom.
Thomas and I met Pirate Goofy while Sky and Macie went on splash mountain. We also went on Pirates of the Caribbean he loves that ride as well!!! That is the end of the picture for our trip. We had a great time and it has taken a while for me to recover this time around. However it was worth it and we look forward to our next family vacation together.

Drama, Drama, Drama.

The other night Macie woke up to go potty and when she wakes up in the night she is very "impossible" Meaning she is still 75% asleep and dosen't know what she is saying, doing and dosen't talk very nice.

When she woke up this particular time she was sweating like crazy because she insisted on wearing the certain pajamas and they are way to hot for her so I asked her if she would like to change Pajamas before she goes back to bed.

Macie "No I want to wear these Pajamas, but I am sweaty and hot"

Mom "Okay we can take off your covers"

Macie "No Mom (In a very impatient and frustrated ton) I want both of them."

Mom "Macie I am going to leave and when I come back you need to make a decision about what we should do to help you not be so hot"

Macie (as she throws herself on her bed) "You hate me Mom"

I was so caught off guard I just started laughing out loud.

Macie "THis is not funny mom this is very serious!!!!

Needless to say I left she worked it out and was asleep within the next ten minutes. Ah the fun times in macies life when I just hope she is getting all of her attitude out now so there won't be any left in coming years.

Why not?

I was sitting in Sacrament meeting sunday listening to the speaker and holding Macie when Sky nudged me and said, "Do you want to go to Florida?"

I answered "you bet" and so after church we went home packed the suit caes got the kids ready for the 21 hour drive, made a few calls to make sure we had a place to stay at disney world and we were on our way!!!

It was so nice to get out of the cold for a week and spend time together as a family. I will miss it when Sky dosen't have spring break anymore!!!

Here are some pictures of he kids, and they were exhausted every night, we played, and played. Tom's favorite ride was "The Buzz Lightyear Ride" and Macie went on splash mountain with her dad, it was fun to see her be more adventurous.

More pictures to come, we are on the road so I will get them later

Winter. Keeps going and going and going.

We have had a few winter storms in February, they even canceled school for Sky.  It was fun to watch all of the snow coming down out our front window and then play in it outside the next day. Wisconsin weather is always doing something crazy. I thought Idaho weather was different until I moved here and saw how extreme the weather can be from one minute to the other.

This is during the storm it continued to snow the rest of the night...

This is from the storm previous you can still see grass a little but that soon changed after the one above hit us. And yes seeing this picture does remind me of the little boy in "The Christmas Story"

It has been a long cold winter here, as I am sure it has been for all of you we are looking forward to the melting season so that we can get outside more regularly and soak up some Vitamin D!!!!!!

Christmas Day

Yes Christmas did come at our house, I just haven't been up to blogging these days.  Sky bought me a camera cord so I can finally download our pictures from our camera, which makes this a lot easier!  So hopefully you will see updates more often!!!!

This year we didn't travel so we could save that money and have a "spoiled" Christmas, it was fun to see the kids excitement and anticipation for Santa to come. And he came...

We had Christmas in Milwaukee just our little family. It was a great day to just relax and watch the kids have so much fun and of course we had to get in on playing with their new toys as well!!
